The last month of summer and the garden and veg plot are still at their best. There is time to sow quick growing salad crops such as Lettuce, Rocket and radish. There’s lots of pruning, deadheading and harvesting to be done in August. You can also start preparing for the autumn veg patch and start to sow flowers for next spring
🌞Summer can still have a few bad spells of weather make sure tall plants and climbers are well supported in case of bad weather.
💧Watering is one of the main jobs to do in the garden this month. In really dry spells don’t forget to water your lawn as well as your flowers, veg and fruit.

🍃Take cuttings from your flowers & plants. The cuttings will give you extra plants.
🌿With the warmer weather weeds will thieve use a weed killer once a week to keep these down.
🌱Remember to collect seed heads from your garden
🐌Check for pests, especially snails they will ruin your crops.
